GENERAL INFORMATION

What’s included in my ticket?

Guests of Whisky Whisky will receive with their ticket:

  1. a sampling wristband that gives the holder access to all pours being provided by our brand partners.

  2. one dream dram token that allows the holder to choose one premium whisky pour from one of our brand partners – if you want to try more than one, additional dream dram tokens will be available for purchase.

  3. a delicious lunch box from our venue partner Hello Please.

  4. a Whisky Whisky branded Glencairn glass for you to keep.

  5. a bottle of water, for your health.

Each brand table will have water available for guests and additional bottled water will be available for purchase should attendees wish to deviate from the drams on offer from our brand partners.

Is there a dress code?

No. However most people we know will put on their fancy pants. But it’s up to you!

Are there pass-outs?

No. Unfortunately licensing prevents us from allowing pass-outs.

Is the event 18+?

Yes.

Can we bring food or bottled water to the event?

No food or drinks are allowed. There will be plenty of water available and awesome food provided with your ticket.

What are the times?

Each of the two Whisky Whisky sessions has a different start and finish time. Please check when you purchase your ticket that you have chosen the correct session because we may not be able to accommodate changes.

Each session will run for 2.5 hours during which time you will have plenty of time to taste all that is on offer — great local and international whiskies, food, music, and an experience that breaks from the traditional whisky show model.

Do you accept cash?

Yes. You can also pay with any Visa/Mastercard credit or debit card.

What happens if the event is cancelled?

Ticket holders will be refunded, less booking fees. If you are sick or unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances, your tickets may be refunded at the discretion of the organiser. No other refunds will be permitted for any reason.

What happens if it rains?

The show must go on! The festival will run regardless of rain, wind or shine – unless weather conditions become extreme and dangerous, posing a serious risk to the safety of patrons and brand ambassadors.

Is there wheelchair access?

Yes there is. Whisky Whisky has put provisions in place to best accommodate for people with disabilities, but so we can do our best to meet your needs please email shaun@suppingclub.com with any special requirements you may have or for further information.

What form of ID will I need?

You will need one of the following IDs on arrival and on your person throughout the entire event:

  • Current valid Australian drivers license (with photograph)

  • Current Passport

  • Government Issued Proof of Age Card

  • International Drivers License (must contain a photograph)

Will there be cash out facilities on site?

No, so if you want to use cash on the day, please bring it with you.

Will there be vegetarian and vegan food options?

Due to the number of people attending and limited kitchen space available, we can only cater to vegetarians as an additional dietary requirement, if you are vegetarian, please contact us via shaun@suppingclub.com to ensure we allocate your option.

What items are banned from the festival?

Alcohol, glass (perfume bottles under 100ml are permitted), food, soft drinks, metal cutlery, bottle openers, cans, more than 100ml of liquid (sunscreen, perfume, makeup), hydration packs or bladders, skateboards, milk crates, containers of liquid fuel, water pistols, weapons, illegal drugs, fireworks, fire twirling devices, flares, professional recording devices, laser lights, studded clothing apparel, any other items considered illegal or dangerous, animals, umbrellas, eskys, backpacks larger than an A4 piece of paper, shopping trolleys, camping chairs, deck chairs, bean bags, air beds, tables, tents, sun shades, aerosols.

Will there be bag searches at the front gate?

It is a condition of entry to all Whisky Whisky or Supping Club events that a search of person or possessions may be required at the time of entry to the Venue. All bags are subject to a safety and security search upon entry. Any prohibited items will be confiscated and we will not be responsible for them.

What type of camera can I bring?

You can bring anything from an iPhone to a disposable camera however, we do not permit professional cameras of any kind without our express permission.

TICKET INFORMATION

Do I need to change the name on the ticket if I give it to a friend?

Yes. You can change the name on the ticket at any time by contacting us at shaun@suppingclub.com.

Can I have the ticket on my phone?

Yes. As long as the details are clearly legible.

Can I resell my ticket?

Sorry, we don’t allow tickets to be resold or transferred without our involvement and at our discretion due to licensing requirements. If you cannot go and would like to transfer your ticket, please email shaun@suppingclub.com

I’ve lost my ticket email. Can it be resent?

If this happens, please email us at shaun@suppingclub.com.

RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL (RSA)

What are your RSA policies?

Whisky Whisky and Supping Club are committed to the responsible service of alcohol in accordance with Queensland liquor licensing laws. All our staff and brand ambassadors serving alcohol are trained in RSA practices. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who appears intoxicated, underage, or is behaving inappropriately.

Will I be refused service if I’m intoxicated?

Yes. Under Queensland law, we cannot serve alcohol to anyone who is intoxicated. Our staff are trained to identify signs of intoxication and will refuse service if necessary. If you are refused service, please respect our teams decision – they are following the law and ensuring everyone’s safety.

How many drinks can I have?

While there is no set limit, we encourage responsible consumption. Whisky Whisky is about appreciating quality whiskies, not excessive drinking. Pace yourself throughout the 2.5-hour session, drink plenty of water (provided free), and enjoy the food included with your ticket. Remember, our staff will refuse service if you appear intoxicated.

What if I see someone who appears overly intoxicated?

Please notify a Whisky Whisky staff member or security personnel immediately. We take the welfare of all our guests seriously and will provide appropriate assistance.

BEHAVIOUR & CONDUCT

What behaviour is expected at Whisky Whisky?

We expect all guests to treat fellow attendees, staff, brand ambassadors, and the venue with respect. Whisky Whisky is a premium event for whisky enthusiasts to enjoy great spirits in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Aggressive, abusive, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.

What happens if I behave badly?

Guests who engage in any of the following behaviours will be warned and may be removed from the event immediately without refund:

  •  Verbal or physical abuse toward staff, security, brand ambassadors, or other guests

  •  Harassment of any kind, including sexual harassment

  •  Damaging property or equipment

  •  Intoxication or disorderly conduct

  •  Smoking

  •  Failure to follow reasonable directions from staff or security

  •  Attempting to bring prohibited items into the venue

  •  Any illegal activity

Do you have security on site?

Yes. We have trained security personnel on site throughout the event to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests. Please follow any directions given by security staff.

What if someone is harassing me or making me uncomfortable?

Your safety and comfort are our priority. Please immediately notify any Whisky Whisky staff member, security personnel, or approach the information desk. We will take all complaints seriously and address them promptly.

Can I smoke at the event?

Smoking (including vaping) is not permitted in the event space. Please ask staff where these areas are located.

Smoking in the event space will result in removal from the event.

What if I’m asked to leave?

If you are asked to leave the event due to unacceptable behaviour, you must do so immediately. Refusing to leave when directed by staff or security may result in police being called. No refunds will be provided for removal due to behavioural issues.

Will police be involved if there are incidents?

Yes, if necessary. We will not hesitate to contact Queensland Police if any illegal activity occurs or if someone refuses to leave when directed to do so.
